Hi Lucy I don't know where you got your info from but I can tell you
as a private pilot myself that there are female commercial pilots
currently flying and more will follow I think that its probably a bit of
chauvinism that puts the girls of from applying.their is nothing to stop anybody from doing the training for the job I know a lot of female private license holders and some are as good if not better than men after all its a well known fact that women are better at multi tasking than men.i can assure you that the flight training is no different for for woman as a matter of fact it was a re tiered
female commercial pilot that passed me for my private licence
so if you fancy a go at it don't be put of you go through the same
training as the men and if you make the grade the world is your oyster hope this helps best wishes kev

There are! A girl I was at school with is now a commercial airline pilot for BA. I had no idea until I heard the announcement of her name when I was actually on the plane. Rather an unnerving experience as she was quite a wild child when we were at school, but the flight was very smooth and it was nice to see her again.

What are you talking about. There's hundreds of them .There is a beautiful lady from Brunei who regularly flies into the small provincial airport I work at. There are three Britsh female pilots too and a Dutch lady. That's in a small airport. The big airports will be teeming with them. Check out the airlines pilot recruitment ads, normally on the home page or flight booking page.

As a flight attendant, I certainly have worked with countless woman captains and usual officers. As somebody else pronounced, this might nicely be a skill that was specially won interior the army - for this reason there have been fewer women accessible on commercial liners. i think the numbers will start to upward thrust critically over the subsequent couple of a protracted time. Are you sufficiently old to keep in mind while all bus drivers have been male? Now, it form of feels the ladies individuals outnumber the adult adult males. My own opinion is that girls individuals (often talking) are extra meticulous and intuitive than maximum adult adult males, and make astounding pilots.

There are! BA certainly has women pilots. There are bound to be others. No doubt, historically, it was seen as a job for a man, but times are changing.
