I was given a week by a friend who belongs to a vacation club. I'm a bit nervous about flying out of the country, but Sarawak looks like paradise on earth. I have looked at some other possibilities: Malta, Portugal, Bali, or Payson, Arizona. I'm looking for beautiful environs for R&R, not an active schedule (not a golfer, diver, skier, etc) but do enjoy adventure, sightseeing, shopping. I'll be travelling in December or January. I'd like to hear from some globetrotters!

I am going to be going down in a couple of weeks for a few months and would like to possibly buy a motorcycle and hit the road. I don't know if I will need a special endorsement to ride, if I need an international license (or at least the penalty for not having one), how much you can get a bike for in BA, or the frequency of gas stations out in the country. And I can't seem to find any information on any of this. It probably doesn't help that my Spanish is poor (at best). I have read that only about 30% of the roads in Argentina are sealed and that many of these are home to some pretty gnarly potholes... Also, does anyone have any suggestions of stuff to check out that is off the beaten track? Thanks much.

I would prefer that you answer this question if you have done a RTW tour thing.

How do they work. Do you have to put your destinations in and dates or is it flexible??

What are the catches and that. Can u just tell me everything about it as I am considering doing this round world thing!

Hi All. I'm from San Diego, CA and looking to move to Amsterdam and use it as a base of operations for traveling. I love traveling and in the past 2 years, I've lived in 3 countries - Switzerland, Germany, Russia. In America, I was a personal trainer, but because of the language barrier in these countries, I began work as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language.

I'd like to move by Jan or Feb of '07. Is that realistic? Does that give me enough time for processing all the necessary paperwork and anything else involved with living in Holland?

Any advice on how to plan this move would be much appreciated!

Also, I'd like to get an "insiders" view of Amsterdam, and the Netherlands in general, from both Dutch and foreigners already living there. If you feel comfortable communicating more in-depth information by email (anything from political, economic, and social climate to good clubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, and other "hotspots"), PLEASE do so.

Thanks!

I'm from America and like to keep updated with sports and news, so I often stream live video using a Slingbox (great gadget for all you travelers out there).

Unfortunately, streaming video takes up a lot of bandwidth, so I need to get either a broadband or ADSL connection that's not limited per month. I need a minimum of 380 Kbps upload speed for good viewing.

What are the current rates for the initial set-up and monthly fees? Who are the major companies that offer high-speed internet in Florence?

And, is Wi-Fi widely used there? Are there a lot of hotspots?

Thanks in advance.

What is the cost of living? How do universities rank as far as tuition for out of state students? What are the job opportunities for a grad student(psych major)? How is public transportation? How is crime? How is the night life? Is it as fast as New York City? If not how fast compared to NYC?

Made an 8 day trip to Brazil in Aug., and it was one of the most enjoyable trips in my international travels. I found out that Brazil has the largest population of Italians after Italy itself. I bet you people didn't know that. Not many people do.

Hi baby. I hope you are well. I get so lonely when I don’t hear from you. Sometimes you make me feel like you don’t want to talk to me anymore because I don’t hear from you in d-a-y-s. I know you are busy, but I just wish you make some time for me to tell me that you miss me and that you’re thinking of me…. You would make me so happy if you could do that for me.

I really miss you so much and I haven’t felt this love for someone in so long and I don’t want it to stop. I just wanted you to know that. I’m so excited to see you next week! I can’t wait!!!

I miss and love you soooooooo much….MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE! Call me soon. I miss hearing your voice and for you to tell me sweet things to my ear…lol. Muah!
