Made an 8 day trip to Brazil in Aug., and it was one of the most enjoyable trips in my international travels. I found out that Brazil has the largest population of Italians after Italy itself. I bet you people didn't know that. Not many people do.

The 2nd largest Portuguese population in the world.

yes, I am part of that ethnic group. There are many aspects of my italo-brazilian background that are so authentic to its roots that when I mention some of them to other brazilians, they go 'uh?!' Funniest thing is that I never thought that I was part of a distinctive ethnic group there, I just thought that I was as Brazilian as it comes! It was not until I came to live overseas that I learned this from meeting other Brazilians here. They opened my mind tenfold about who I am and where I came from.
