Remember there are lawyers and there are "consultants". Make sure you ask if they have passed the bar.

Do NOT waste your money on a lawyer. They will just charge you thousands of dollars to help you fill out an application that you can do on your own!
They can not help speed up the immigration process. That's just up to the government, and not even the best lawyer in the country can change that.
Just use www.cic.gc.ca
They have all the information you need, as well as contact phone numbers if you need help from a "real" person.

Hey, seriously you dont need a lawyer that will charge you 3500 dlls to do the paper work for you plus the fees you need to pay to get the papers. They dont do anything special nor speed the process...If you have a lot of money and you are not sure how to spend it, I can help you... I did my own and here I am...In 7 months got everything... I will charge you only if you get accepted, is it ok? Just visit www.cic.gc.ca and follow the instructions....one tip...you could apply to live in another province, which will be easier than Ontario, then once you have all you can live anywhere you want.
