I was in Spain in 95 and lived in Madrid for the Summer. I am planning to go back and stay in south at Malaga (with a rental car) for 2 weeks with my wife. I am going there around New Years Eve of this year. Could someone let me know how nice the south is? Is it a complete tourist trap or are there lots of things to do etc. How expensive is it? Since it will be the winter will it be to cold? Any thoughts would be helpful.

I'm wondering if the rent in Corvallis, Oregon goes UP signifigantly during the school semester. Right now the rents are low, like, 350...285 etc. I'm thinking of moving there at the end of this month (June) and don't want to be priced out at the end of summer!

Within this next year or so I would like to travel and see as many attractions as possible. I want to know places that I can explore each year that are incredible to witness in person. I am from Pennsylvania and would like to first travel across the United States and eventually travel around Europe. Any recommendations? I will be hiking down to the river, staying overnight in a tent, and then hiking my way back up the next day.

Should I bring a sheet to sleep with or a sleeping bag? Has anyone been there in October?
