i am not really interested in taking the excursions, but i want to go to atlantis its my husband,12 year old and myself.we are only in nassau one day, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. we are going snorkeling on disneys island

I've only done the excursion to the Atlantis, or purchased a nights stay. When I purchased the room for the day, we just took a taxi over. It doesn't take too long and it doesn't cost much. Although, if you are wanting to go to the aquarium and things, you will probably save money using the excursions since transfers are included.
Just remember, your not allowed to use their pools unless you are staying at the resort.

After disembarking, walk to the Festival Place Building (orange and yellow). Then go to the tourist info desk and ask for a cab to Atlantis. When you reach, go inside the lobby and the front desk. Ask the clerk for a tour and to use the facilties. I'm not sure of the price of atlantis but the cab should be 10- 15 dollars.

you could take a jitney for about $1 or a water ferry. The 'digs' I believe is about $30 pp which is basically the aquarium. go to cruisecritic.com and go to the message boards then the ports section. You can get all the info you need about any port.
