I think early October would be a decent time to go. I also like to go myself the second week of January because the crowds virtually disappear since everyone is back from there holiday vacations.

During any day I find it easier to check out international drive in the early afternoon. Everyone is at the parks (Disney, Universal, Sea World) and so there's really no crowds at any of the attractions on international drive. Now as far as what time of year, same as the parks, trying late fall or mid winter (after New Year's).

HA, sorry for the laugh, but thank you at the same time, I needed it...
But I-Drive (International drive) is NEVER quite, there's always people (idiots) on I-Drive. The "best time" might be Early June, before summer "officially" starts. Or mid September after school "officially" starts.
Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

Hmm.. What an interesting question. How about going early in the fall when the kids are back in school and all of the tourists have gone home.

Visit www.orlandoconvention.com and check scheduled events. I-Drive lives and dies by events held there.
