i know that country is 90% muslim
i know of all the countries that the USA gives aid to, there are only 3 countries that get more money then Indonesia.
when there are elections, the muslims turn it into a matter of religion and at times bomb the non-muslims.
i know some of the homeless beggars have no idea what the new money looks like, cos an old woman threw back the new money thinking it was fake, and a little boy threw trash at the person that gave the woman money.
if you are not muslim, you have a slim chance of getting a job.
if you start a business, and it does well, the president will take it from you and hand it to one of his kids, so you have to start all over again. that's how each of his kids has over 100 businesses
i did hear of a crook that stole a ring off of a baby's finger at a stop light, the whole family, mom, dad and kids, were piled onto a motorcycle, baby had hand around moms neck, crook cut off baby's finger to get the ring
if you know someone over there, who will translate and guide you around, it maybe ok, but wait until the earthquakes and floods stop first

I have travelled there in the late 80's, and work there many times.
I like that place, especially when I can speak their language, and enjoy the local price massage. Super cheap and super good.
I still love the food there, especially the Sunda food, and the sambal.
The people? ok to be friend, but as workers? Err. . . . very stressful. I use to have about 400 workers, and I always said my company pays me the extra, is to buy drugs to destress myselves. . . . Joking. . .
I love the nature, and have travelled the whole Java Island, from the Selat Sunda to Gn Bromo. I love the people in eastern Java, more sincere and things are cheaper.
As a whole, I love indonesia. If not for the education of my 2 kids, I would have continue to work there.
