On runs over 15 miles, what should I be drinking and/or eating during the run? I have a belt to carry small snacks and 5 mini-water bottles. Thanks.

I'm a 14 yr old girl and I run the 100m hurdle and the 300m hurdle.

I'm about 5'2"; my best time for the 100m hurdle is 21 secs, and my best time for the 300m hurdle is 1:00....what can I do to get better times? I really want to get around 18 secs/55 secs

Also, what would be ideal form when you're going over the hurdle? My school doesn't have a hurdle coach, so when we switch from short distance (or long distance) over to field events, the hurdlers are pretty much left alone to do whatever. I've been basing my form and stuff from what the junior and senior girls who are doing hurdles have told me, but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. They told me to stretch my opposite arm (left) towards my lead leg (right), but when I jump, I lean slightly to the right, so to keep on going, I have to jerk myself straight forward again--or I'd prolly fall over. This takes time/energy that I need. Any suggestions how to fix it?

Also, I dont know how to run with weights on, any other ways?

Running was his health insurance, his soothing refuge from the stressful entrepreneurial business wars, and his teenage payback. "In my mind," he said, "I was earning the letterman's sweater I never got in high school." (His dad's death forced him, starting at 15, to work a double paper route rather than play sports.)

When I first started running, a homeless guy would offer me a drink at 6am after cheering me on. I never accepted the drink.

Today, I ray hills. The day was gray and overcast, the park was brown and dull green. I turned a curve and saw the most amazing burst of deep purple on a bush! It was just stunning.

What do you see? Who cheers you on?

I am a 15 year old girl that can run pretty fast. I play volleyball, but it doesn't seem to effect me then. I will be going up for track next week, and I use to run, but now I have a bit of a problem. It hurts to run because I have DD's, and I can't really find a good Sport's Bra. What would be a good way to make it less painful so I can run like I use to? Serious replies please.
No need to be immature about it.

I've been compiling a list of the toughest workouts I've ever done from xc/track throughout my high school career. I'm looking to add to my list and try out some new workouts. The toughest one I ever did was something we called and dedicated to our 800 meter champion Mike Miller. The workout consisted of hill repeats 5/4/3/2/1 after a set of hills 10 push ups & sit ups followed by a 2000 meter sprint. Which was repeated until it was completed.

I'm 15, on my high's school's track team, and hadn't done track in 5 years. The past 3 weeks have been brutal because I was so out of shape, but instead of getting faster I was getting slower, and my knees hurt like hell. I went to the doctor and got an x-ray, and what I thought was osgood-schlatter was really tendonitis. I think it's only in my right knee, but my left one hurts a little, too. I start physical therapy on tuesday. How long do you think I'll be out? Am I gonna miss the whole season? I'm a sprinter and a jumper, so i obviously can't do those without risking a tendon tear.

im a mile runner, and i've gotten my time down to 6:04, but at the end of a race i just dont have the energy to kick, even if im neck and neck with an opponent, and it's really annoying. i know im racing the other 3 laps well cause im super tired by the end of the race, but other people i race against just kick it in their last lap.
i've tried to run on my toes to get some extra speed in that last hundred, but after the greater part of the mile i ususally can't keep it up for long enough.

what can i do to get better at this? i practice every day, and im considering if i should use ankle weights that i have, would they help me with anything?

Thanks a bunch!
