20/20s, aka hell on earth. We do them all the time at my high school. We have 20 seconds to run 100 meters, 20 seconds to rest, and then run another 100m, and so on, 10 times. We usually do about three sets of those, walking a lap in between. By the way, if you don't make the 100m in 20 seconds, the extra time gets taken out of your break. This builds a lot of endurance and speed (and sometimes makes you hate your coach).

Run 17s you go from one side of the basketball court (width wise) to the other 17 times in a minute and seventeen seconds. It will take you a while to beat it but it is a GREAT work out.

Join soccer. Soccer starts first and overlaps the track season. Soccer is basically all sprints. The exercises used in soccer really build strenth, endurance and speed. At my daughter's school, all the top track girls are also on the soccer team.

Well, you should bring bottles of water and do exercises such as jumping jacks, or the butterfly. Run around your house a few times (unless you have a fence...XD). And maybe run around the block. Hope this helps!!!

Throw in some hill training. The added resistance of gravity will help develop your leg strength and improve your stamina.
