So who out there has the feeling that the red soxs are going to blow it. They are only 2 1/2 up and have 11 games to go. The yankees are rolling and they dont look like there going to slow down. So are we going to see the biggest choke of the 2000s or will they hang on?

it is now 2.5 out! instead of 14.5!! for red sox fans, more bad news: if they finish tied, yankees get division!! why? 10-8 head to head edge, you boston punks!!

The tigers are basically out of the playoffs, A-rod has *carried* the yankees on his back and has way better numbers than Magglio, what gives?

How the hell did the Yankees get so first to first place? Anybody remember a while ago when they were "out of the race"? I guess my dream of the Yankees missing the playoffs will never come true.

And as a side note, my Tigers are getting pummeled. ...yipee skipee.

Oh well Yankees won't be as good next year....

And once the playoff teams are identified is the playoff format exactly right to determine the champion?

as you watch your team drop another game...Yankees only 2 and a half back I mean thats got to be a little nerve racking when boston had such a demanding lead all season!!!

I have two. One is Nascar. Not bashing it or anything but i just can't never get into to it. Watched it once & i was like. My goodness 3 hours just watching cars go round & round? 2nd one i don't consider a sport even though for some reason ESPN does is Poker. Can someone explain to me how in the world can anyone sit through that? And how is that considered a sport?

Alright it looks like we can get the win and then in the eigth he puts in Eric Gagme. Yah Gag-Me. And after letting up the tying run on four straight walks he doesnt think to take him out. Red Sox end up losing 4-3. Will the Red Sox still win the division, or does francona want the wildcard.

Wow!!!..The Phillies just can't stop winning lately.
I've followed them ever since the White Sox got rid of Rowand.

I love this time of year when teams give the first place teams a run for the money.

Will the Phillies overtake the Mets by Sept. 30th and win the title??

What do you think??

Why is it so hard to admit that the Yankees are the better team right now and will probably win the division LIKE THEY HAVE THE PAST 12 YEARS? Or maybe I'm asking the wrong question: How do you blow a 14.5 game division lead lol?

A user here said in the 1st Round , the wild card can never play a team that's in the same division. True? False? _I never knew that! What's the rationale behind this rule?

Past or present.

Part of me wants to go with Homer Bush, but then there's the greatness that is Tim Spooneybarger.

My club has been in the crapper for the past 10 years. Worst team in baseball. The owner blames everyone but himself.
Local disk jockeys have organized stadium events where disgruntled fans fill a section of the stadium then walk out at the 8th inning.
A rookie pitcher shut us out.
We were swept at home by the Washington Nationals
We've given 30 runs in one game
We have had 2 9 game losing streaks
They constantlyu fake the attendance records
And the 2 stars have all but asked for a 1 way ticket out of Baltimore.

Is there any way to force the owners to make the owner sellt he team?
