Alright it looks like we can get the win and then in the eigth he puts in Eric Gagme. Yah Gag-Me. And after letting up the tying run on four straight walks he doesnt think to take him out. Red Sox end up losing 4-3. Will the Red Sox still win the division, or does francona want the wildcard.

I think the Red Sox will stay hang on (and I am a Yankee fan). I just don't see the Yankees as being immune to one of their own 3 or 4 game swoons that they have experienced all year. Right now, the Yanks have won 11 of 13, and they can't reasonably be expected to continue at that pace.

God, if they lose the division after being up by 9 or 10 for so long, they really may just suck...I think they will hang on long enough to win the division, if Francona wants to hang on to his job...

Bad coaching move sticking with Gagne...and it may have been a bad team move to bring him in...maybe boneheaded like sending Babe Ruth to the Yankees...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! That was me when Gagne came into the game. He has blown the lead on at least 5 games that the Sox should have won. He has not pitched one single perfect inning yet with the Sox. Hmmm...What the heck is up with Francona?

Ye Ole Little Faith Sweetie.Don't put too much stock in what happened last night, we will bounce back. What Tito pulled last night was absurd, but we have to believe that it will work out in our favor at the end of the season. The Yankees don't have what it takes to make it all the way.........They don't have the pitching that we do.Gag-Me's mistake does not reflect on what our starters and bullpen can do.

You sound like a frustrated Red Sox fan, but I don't believe you have to worry about them going to the playoffs.

I dont understand what TF was trying to do? build up Gagne's confidence? you can say that september is not the time to do confidence-building but then again Gagne joined the Sawx late. I don't know what to make of last night's game
