Have you ever noticed that you rarely if ever see female athletic trainers in MLB dugouts or a team's staff? Why is that? Someone told me that the San Diego Padres have female athletic trainers on staff and in the dugouts but we're unaware if other MLB teams do this.

This issue was a bit controversial a few years ago where I think it was the Cincy Reds had a female trainer in the dugout and some fans and players complained.

Sounds to me like women rights have taken a few steps backwards if this is true or a trend. Any evidence to back this up out there?

I've had enough of seeing this piece of crap pitching for the Mets. Everytime he comes in, he gives up runs or gives up the lead. He never does anything to help this ballclub. Guillermo Mota needs to be shipped out of town and he needs to take the worst manager in the major leagues (Willie Randolph) with him. I've never seen a manager who was so horrible at managing a pitching staff like Willie is. Its unbelievable.

I Live in NY and me and my friends want to go to the 2008 Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium. We went to ticketmaster to buy them and they told us they were not selling them. Does anyone know where you can get tickets for a reasonable price.

I believe he belongs in jail. What an idiot. He not only destroyed his already old baseball career, but his life. Because these players will come at him with a lawsuit and take all his money...which he deserves to lose. Who cares about his kids and whatever. Offerman deserves everything he had taken away from him

i like baseball tonight i really do, but i see this favoritism toward the American league does any one else see that? like it's soppose to inform you on what is going on in MLB right? welll they didn't even mention that Adam Eaton of the Phillies went on the DL. now if a Yankee's player went on the DL that would have benn one of the 1st things they mentioned. i guess the question is is how good of a job do you think they do covering mlb news.

When, why, and maybe even who? Was is Boston that started it or another team...i know that the Twins do it to after the 7th inning while the Red Sox do it mid 8th.

By "the best" I mean ones that talk alot and about alot and have a voice that stands out and doesn't sound too old and boring.

I say the Mets have the best (SNY). The FOX announcers are good too.

The Phillies announcers suck.

I have been a Cub's fan since 5th grade and always admired the commentary of Ron Santo so I looked up his career stats.

All-star 1963-1966, 1968, 1969, 1971-1973
1973 Lou Gehrig Memorial Award
Gold Glove 1964-1968
Led NL in On-base % in 1964 with .398 and 1966 with .412
Led NL in triples in 1964 with 13

Career stats (3rd baseman)
AVG .277
RBI 1,331
HITS 2,254
HR 342

Phil Rizzuto (HALL OF FAMER)
AVG .273
HITS 1588
HR 38
RBI 562

All-Star (AL): 1942, 1950-1953
American League Most Valuable Player: 1950
Babe Ruth Award: 1951
1949-1953: Led the league in sacrifice hits
1950: Led A.L. shortstops in fielding (.982)
1950: Led the league in singles (150)

Look at Santo's stats then at Rizzuto's if Rizzuto made it then Santo should.

does anyone disagree???
