By "the best" I mean ones that talk alot and about alot and have a voice that stands out and doesn't sound too old and boring.

I say the Mets have the best (SNY). The FOX announcers are good too.

The Phillies announcers suck.

The SNY team, period. Keith Hernandez is so funny and annoying at times. Ron Darling does the best in-game analysis. And Gary Cohen: IT'S OUTTA HERE! is the best home run call.
As for the best single announcer, it's gotta be Vin Scully, the legendary voice of the Dodgers.
As for just pure entertainment, John Sterling's home run calls: An A-BOMB from A-ROD, Robbie Cano - don't cha know, a Thrilla by Godzilla, the Melk Man delivers again, or Shelley Duncan has Dunit again.... but that's about it from him.

Bob Sheppard. He become PA announcer for Yankee Stadium from 1951 till 2007. He surpassed directly to the finished beyond in July, 2010 on the age of ninety 9. Hawk Harrelson is a television announcer, no longer a PA announcer.

I'm a homer, but I really like Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven for the Twins. They do a good job calling the game, and are very entertaining too. You never what Bert is going to do or say next.

I had the MLB Extra Innings package last year, and there are a lot of boring announcers out there. I didn't hear everyone, but I didn't hear anyone that I would trade Dick and Bert for.

I agree with what you said about the Mets announcers. I love listening to Gary Cohen, and I like Ron Darling, but I find Keith Hernandez to be a little annoying. As for FOX, I like Joe Buck but I cant stand Tim McCarver. I like the Redsox announcers on NESN as well.

The Mets' radio team of Howie Rose & Tom McCarthy are the best, and their TV crew of Gary Cohen & either Keith Hernandez or Ron Darling is also very good.

The Yankess' radio team of John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman is the worst I've ever heard. They are pitiful.

My favorite announcers are the Cardinals radio play-by-play guys, John Rooney and Mike Shannon. I especially love Shannon's announcing. He mixes in good analysis with classic baseball stories. Although, my favorite announcer of all time would be Jack Buck.

As a Yanks fan I would be biased toward Kay and SIngleton; having lived most my life in SoCal Vin Scully is huge to me. Unbiased, I really like the guys in Cleveland, not homers call a good game, keep it interesting enough, know their stuff.

If you count radio announcers then the Cubs have the best- Pat Hughes and Ron Santo.

VIn Scully for the Dodgers - too bad they're stinking it up and wasting his talent.

Joe Torre was a damn good TV analyst when he did that gig for the Angels back in the 80s.
