someone at work mentioned a very interesting idea.

WHAT IF .... Bonds just walked away from the game right now? he's one HR from tying the record. he doesn't owe the Giants anything. if he walked away from the game right now, for the expressed reason to respect Aaron and the record and show people that it's not all about him and his image. it's not like the Giants are in the playoff race anyway.

for those of you who don't like/respect him, or whatever ... would you gain back some respect for him, regardless of past (perceived) wrongs?
