I do!

They both should be first ballot HOF. Both are two of the greatest at their respective positions. Both were golden in their prime offensively and defensively. Both 5-tool players!

used steroids, when in fact he was later suspended during the 2005 season for testing positive. Perjury is a serious crime, it's a felony, and he should be held accountable for it, with possilble jail time, etc, whatever punishment that is applicable to his CRIME, and he did commit a CRIME by purguring himself. The only reason why Mark Mcgwire was evasive in answering those questions was because he knew he didn't want to perjure himself, he was smart actually in being evasive. Palmeiro on the other hand, stood up and pointed at one of the Congressmen and said in a very stern voice that he never used steroids, what a freaking liar he is. Then he tested positive a few months later, and is now out of baseball and most likely will not make the Hall of Fame. He will be the first player ever to have over 500 HR's, over 1,800 RBI's and over 3,000 hits and not make the Hall of Fame, what a waste of a career. Hey, at least he made around 100 million in career salary.

Tommy John career is most compared to Fergie Jenkins, Don Sutton and Phil Neikro ??
Bert Blylevan career is most compared to Tom Seaver, Steve Carlton and Gaylord Perry ??
Jim Rice career is most compared to Duke Snider, Billy Williams and Willie Stargell ??
Ok, My point is this these 3 and many other deserving Hall of Famers sit outside looking in but are compared with present Hall of Famers what gives why are they not in the Hall of Fame ?? is the Hall nothing more then a popularity contest ??

career with the Astros? He did play along side of admitted users Ken Caminiti and suppossed user Jeff Bagwell. Biggio has remained a very powerful guy into his early 40's and always has had a good physique. Bags and Cams were his good friends. It seems logical to me that at one point or another he juiced. He never had the huge power numbers, but he has had longevity and consistency, which steroids can provide to someone. Now that he has 3,000 hits, he appears to be a lock for the Hall of Fame. With his choir boy good looks and his everyman charm, maybe he is pulling the wool over our eyes? Do you think he was a juicer? This thread is not, will he be a Hall of Famer, because, unless he tests positive these last 2 months of his career, he is a lock. We all thought Rafael Palmiero was a lock, until he tested positive. I think their is a good chance Biggio juiced in the late 90's early 00's with Bags and Cams, anyone agree?

If the game is held in Minnesota Friday who do you expect to win? It will be Santana and Sabathia pitching. Minnesota won 2 or 3 in their last series against KC. Cleveland dropped their last 2 games to Texas with 1 game to play yet today. The last meeting with Minnesota and Cleveland, played in Cleveland, resulted in a loss for Sabathia and no decision for Santana (Nesheck got the win). What do you expect for this meeting here in Minnesota? I'm going with Minnesota. Santana has hasn't had a win in his last 3 outings (2 losses and 1 no decision). But I think it will change on Friday.

I will have to get tickets to the game. I expect it to be a fight. Go Twins!!!

They assembled a roster with a collection of proven offensive players and with the exeception of a few of the younger players they just aren't hitting consistently. In April, May and even into June we explained it away as a slow start, but its August now and still nothing from the heart of the offense, Wells, Glaus, Thomas, Overbay... The pitching staff has actually vastly over-acheived otherwise we'd probably be way down at the bottom of the AL standings. (Blue Jays fans can also discuss this with us in our new Jays Yahoo Group:

Is Carlos Zambrano a legitimate contender for the Cy Young?

Does anyone know of any Cy Young winners who were not in the All-Star Game the year that they won? (modern day)

Which winner had the biggest second-half push?

I say to Arod:

Forget about the 50,000 fans flashing bulbs in your eyes. You are the greatest athlete that has ever lived. Who are they to bother you?

Rekindle your joy in the game. If you want to, eat a few hot dogs and drink a few beers before going to bat like the Babe used to do. It will do baseball some good if we see the players having fun in the dugout.

You know you're going to hit the 500. We all know it too.

Sincerely yours, Ann
