The Sox and Pats are contenders every year, but Gagne and Moss will both certainly help.
The Celtics have a good threesome with Pierce-Garnett-Allen, but they would have been more effective together five years ago. Ray Allen seems to be chained to the three-point line, not the slasher he once was. And they still have big questions at the point guard position.

I think the Red Sox and Patriots definitely have a great shot and I would love for them both to win but I wouldn't hold my breath on the Celtics...don't get me wrong they are much improved over last year but there are still better teams in the NBA...they could win it but I wouldn't put them as a front runner. Personally, I would like to see the B's get to and go deep in the playoffs...I am still waiting for a Bruins championship in my lifetime.

Celtics are the team to beat in the east.They got Pierce, Allen, And Garnett. They have 3 All-Stars. Red Sox no way. Pats got Randy. It would be between Celtics and Pats.

I'll I'm saying is I hopped on the Celtics Bandwagon on Tuesday. Will the Sox win the World Series, or the Celtics the NBA Finals? I don't know, but they're my teams, so I hope they at least win their division.

Patritos got Randy Moss....head case..he will destroy the locker room. patriots miss playoffs.
Celtics got Kevin Garnett....career underachiever. couldn't do it in Minnesota when they had the best record in the NBA on year...why now at a much older age with aging vets?
