Henry Aaron for being such a great caretaker of the record all these years and for all he was forced to endure when he was trying to catch Babe Ruth. The hundreds of death threats to him and his family, all the things he could have said along the way, but didn't, and the class he demonstrated as a baseball player and a person. Bonds might be a great player but he doesn't even come close to being the kind of person Aaron has been all of his life.

Onbase plus slugging seems like a bit of a nonsense statistic. Each of them is quite important on their own, but as a basis of comparison, it seems silly. For a lead-off hitter, OBP is more important, for someone in the middle of a lineup, SLG is more important. Yet this stat adds them at a 1:1 ratio, uses it as a baseline for comparison, and all the analyists LOVE the stat.

So ESPN is showing every Giants game, and I happened to watch the 1st game while I ate my Oreos tonight. Barry Zito retired the first 3 batters he faced. He worked very quickly, and looked confident on the mound. I think he's going to turn things around, and be the ace the Giants paid an arm, a leg, a kidney, and a spleen for. Agree?

because yesterday i was watching costas now and real sports with Bryant Gumble and they said that the clear and the cream are a kind of steroids and barry and sheff said they used them but said they did not no it was steroids but again barry and sheff never proved positive on a drug test so im confused
