The problem is DRAYTON MCLANE; he won't spend the money for pitching, and he won't revitalize the farm system. Purpura doing all he can with the extreme limitations he's been placed under. The Florida Marlins have won 2 World Series in their short history, in our 40 yr history we've only gotten to 1 World Series. Enough said.

Orlando palmerio needs to go, Jason Jennings, Jason Lane, Woody Williams, its a sad sad season. Gerry Hunsicker built this team and Poopura is destroying it. Where is Gerry Hunsicker at?
Tes you need to stop listening to Richard Justice that guy is an idiot. He flips flops more than any other person I know. We DID have a great FARM system but Pupura had traded it away. He release Morgan Ensberg and got what nothing the guy was hitting 344 this month and we are suppose to be surprised that he hit 2 hr's today. Why isn't Patton up why isn't our catcher from AAA up. What do we have to lose.

We were supposed to be sellers at the trade deadline but the only trade we made was to another selling team. Purpura has to realize we're not going anywhere this season. Mr. Mclayne should fire Purpura. Garner could have a great team if Daryl Morey was the gm. We should've spent more money on Beltran and like someone else pointed out on one of my questions, how did we get enough money for Lee two years later? Don't get me wrong, Lee's great. I was thinking about what Johan Santana was saying about leaving Minnesota. What if the Astros could try to go out and get him. But wait Mclayne and Purpura rather spend the rest of the money we have on the Coca cola trash can promotion.

I couldn't agree more--this is the second time this week I've gotten to answer a question with "Bring back Gerry Hunsicker !!!" and if Garner is managing this team next season I may have to start following the Royals, at least we know their crummy manager will be gone!

Try dealing with Bill Bavasi for a week... Jesus Christ that guy gives me ulcers. He waited 2 months to call up Adam Jones because he didn't want to break the flow of what was going on, he didn't make a single move regardless that our best pitcher is Miguel Batista (AND WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PLAYOFF RACE), and when he actually does sign players, they are all busts... Psh Reitsma and Rhodes both out for the season and possibly their careers, what the hell is he thinking?!

I'm willing to give Purpura one more season to show that he knows what he's doing. The 2007 season was doomed to be hostage to Biggio's 3000 quest, and at least that is over with.
Worth keeping: Oswalt, Berkman, Lee, Pence. And, eh, Scott.
Gotta go: Ausmus, the entire bullpen.
Thanks for announcing the retirement and making this easy: Biggio.
Prefer dumping: everyone else. Even Lidge, whose trade value will likely never be this high again.

"purpura your fired" he has destroyed our team and its only getting worse... I think we should have went out and got some pitching help at the deadline.. but this offseason were gonna lose lamb, loretta to free agency.. I think we should go after dontrelle willis. how can the yankees get all these playeers but the stros get nothing... and i think we should aso go after carl crawford a g=houston native since we like trading with the d-rays so much
