Cubs have now tied the Brewers in the NL Central. Can they win the pennant? How much of their sucess do you attribute to the ouster of Dusty Baker and the placement of Lou Pinella?

long enough to get to 3,000 hits, maybe 3 more years. I think if he plays long enough, he will be a Hall of Famer and will get to 3,000 hits, he's 40 years old now.

hi, i'm not too familiar with baseball rules. in mlb, is there such a thing as "walk-off-sacrice-ground-out" ? this is where the batting team wins the game.

i've heard of walk-off-sac-fly, but never seen one. how about "walk-off-double-play" (where batting team wins) ? is that possible?

in his 10 full seasons belle had 373 hr's 1199 rbi's and hit right around .300 (avg of 37 hr 120 rbi per season), he was a 5 time all star and was robbed of the 1995 al mvp award...he did play below average defense and had a bad reputation of the field, but that shouldn't matter (at least in the abscence of a gambling scandal)...so whaddya think?

Hey guys, I know that the baseball term "southpaw" means a left throwing pitcher. But my question is that where did this unusual name come from?? Are there any truth or myths out there to this term's origin or how it came around??

Thanks.
