I like Lou. I liked him as a hard-nosed player when he was with the Yankees many years ago. He brought that same kinda attitude to managing. He obviously lit a fire under the Cubs... something Dusty Baker couldn't do.
Don't be fooled by his antics on the field. Lou knows what's going on 100% of the time.

by surprise Joe Girardi sounds like a baseball genius, yet you may not positioned to plenty fault on the pinnacle of Mr. Pinella. This comparable unhappy, pathetic tale has been occurring in Cubdom for almost a century. according to probability next 365 days is the 365 days. The Cubs would be bought, the Tribune activities writers will actual have the means to criticize a poor corporation by way of fact they gained't be ripping their very own product.. Wrigley container is a MLB Stadium, no longer a social club to have relaxing. triumphing is relaxing! All it somewhat is left is to tear down that sandlot, circulate to a diverse area of the north area and re-invent themselves. loads of proficient ball gamers have undergone Wrigley over the years and that they continuously finally end up leaving empty.(Grace, Palmeiro, oh yeah Joe Girardi. The stigma of being properly-known by way of fact the cute losers turns into all too obvious after some months on that roster and that they found out they made a mistake signing with the Cubs. no person desires to play for a dropping corporation, according to probability the Cubs are cursed, yet they only have themselves AND Cub followers to blame. the single i've got self belief sorry for is Derek Lee. There is going lost time of an mind-blowing ball participant who I beneficial needs yet another ring.

I think Pinella is funny to watch. He used to be really funny because he would go off on anything but hes calmed down and not as bad. The coach/manager doesnt make the team win but he can make them have a winning attitude and that really helps.

Alot.
Dusty is no good without a superstar. Dusty is the players coach and he would let his superstar captain the team. Well, the cubs have great players but no one like Bonds and Sosa of old.
Lou puts a firework in their rear end and keeps them in check. Dusty was also not bright. One word, Alfonseca. Cub fans will know what I mean.

Pinella is a good baseball man and a good manager. Give him the players to work with, which he never had in Tampa Bay, and he has the ability to bring in a winner.
