Wow, I wish I had more thumbs to give you all 10 thumbs down.

The Dodgers are playing the Giants, in LA. The game is soldout, so it's not a blackout.
ESPN2 was scheduled to show the game, it even shows it on the onscreen cable guide, but they're showing Gametime instead.
Does anybody know why they changed their mind?

They are in Chicago so I don't know what to tell you...must be because of where you live.

Not sure where you live. If you are in an area that is designated for Dodgers or Giants broadcasts, ESPN gets blacked out.

The areas aren't the immediate area, either. In Buffalo, games involving the Yankees, Mets, Pirates and Indians are blacked out. The rules are mighty complicated, as if you haven't guessed.

What the hell are you all talking about? I'm watching the Giants on espn2 right now!! Your all just retarded. Try actually watching espn2 instead of the commercials? I'm not sure where you could go wrong on that. Anyway, Bonds isn't going to hit 755. Already the 8th and he's 0-2.

Depending where you live, ESPN is blacked out by local programming, that means in LA the game was shown on KCAL-9 tv. In the bay area Fox Sports has exclusive rights to show the game.

It's being shown where I live (new orleans). It's possible that the game isn't being shown in your area because it's being shown on say Fox Sports West? or LA's version of New York's YES perhaps?

They were showing it where I live (CT). Not sure. But they are just showing it because Bonds is in town and he's about to tie 755 homeruns. You shouldn't trust a network that has a segment everyday called "Who's Now".

When there is low attendence at the ballpark.. they black out the game so more people go to the game.

Because they're not playing the Red Sox or Yankees.

they are in cleveland, but i think it's a pity showing because nobody wants to watch the indians impending collapse

....because they're upset that they can't show Yankees or Red Sox.
