I am not sure of your frame of references but many people in the public eye receive death threats and Jeter would be no different.

I never knew he did recieve them but it would be because he plays for the most known baseball franchise (most loved and most hated) and the haters will threaten the team captin *Jeter*. Just like Hank Aaron got death threats when he was breaking the home run record. People just dislike them because of small things (race, team, apperance).

He has gotten threats before. The reason is because his dad is African American and his mom is white, making him biracial. It really is a sad world we live in when people get threats based on their ethnicity.

I think that if he were receiving as "many" as you say, the authorities would be all over it. I can't really think of what the reason would be.
Unless he has peeps sending them just to keep his name in the headlines. Maybe Clemens and A-Rod are getting more paper "space" and he doesn't like it?

I don't know...but I do know that he got one last year? because he's half black half white...which I think is horrible...whats wrong with two people of different races falling in love and having a kid.
