I say to Arod:

Forget about the 50,000 fans flashing bulbs in your eyes. You are the greatest athlete that has ever lived. Who are they to bother you?

Rekindle your joy in the game. If you want to, eat a few hot dogs and drink a few beers before going to bat like the Babe used to do. It will do baseball some good if we see the players having fun in the dugout.

You know you're going to hit the 500. We all know it too.

Sincerely yours, Ann

Before the games is one thing and I don't knock it, but I mean drinking a few beers eating some hot dogs at the game like the fans. Enjoying the game with us.

You're right that he has to rekindle with joy and have fun. Remember this is a kids game he's playing and he should take the pressure off of himself. Its a team sport not an individual sport.

Arod thinks too much.

He should take some advice from Yogi Berra. Yogi was once asked what he was thinking about during a particular at bat and he replied something like, "Thinking? How the heck can you think and hit at the same time?"

Don't think at all. Just walk up to the plate, and hit the homeruns. He's not the best player to hit the game. He doesn't need to think, because he's done it 499 times before.

Don't listen to them a-rod. Keep doing what you are doing. They would rather you hit a homer and the yankees lose, then you go 0-9 in the last two games.... like you did, and the yankees win. I personnally would like to see you go 0-10, and the yankees lose too, but it doesn't matter, cause the Red Sox still have the east on lockdown, oh yeah, sorry about stealing Gagne.

I feel bad for the guy. He puts way to much pressure on himself in these situtations. You can see it on his face when he is hitting. Its as if his life depends on it.

I think you're right in some ways although I dont know if A-rod personally would drink before the games. Some guys could pull that off. ie wells, mantle, ruth, cobb.. but not A-rod.

What do I think about your advice for Arod? I think it sucks!

Yeah, drink and drive yourself home! BRILLIANT IDEA! The difference between the players and fans is that the fans "usually" have a DD.

Giambi has a couple drinks before the game.

I'm an A-rod fan but even I know he is not the greatest player ever. he is going to hit 600 homers and steal 300 bases. but he should still take care of his body.

Stop thinking about 500 and think about the playoffs.
