No, for several reasons.
1) It's not strategic for that team, you pitch to him when you have a good chance at getting him out or you can't afford to have him on base.
2) Even if every pitcher tries, he will get his record, walking him more won't make a difference
3) People should take this record with a grain of salt, statistically, it HAD to be broken, With the rise in home runs over time, someone will have the career length to do it and you are worrying about something for nothing.
4) if you think the # 756 takes away something from Hank Aaron, you are looking at it entirely too one-dimensional.
Hank hit home runs when it was harder to do so than when Barry, Alex, Albert do. It's natural the record will be broken, again and again, and again.
5) it's the fan's fault combined with Barry's weak personality that he did steroids. Fans are crying out for their team to win. Their team feel that home runs are the way, teams sign guys who hit home runs, increasing their salaries. Players are going to do anything to hit that niche market, so they learn to be home run hitters and since most are American and they have this pre-occupation with 'being the best', if you can't be the best, you cheat to be the best.
Follow it back, it's clearly the fan's fault (me included) that people use steroids and Barry's weak personality is at fault for him not being able to see other cheaters in the spot light.

Bad idea. Pitchers have to do what is in the best interest of their team without concern for Bonds. For example, Let's say the Giants are behind 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs and Bonds coming to the plate. Why would you walk him and bring the tying run to the plate? Remember, the objective is to win ball games and not walk Bonds. Also, could you define what you mean by "steroid freak"?

Let me first climb onto the soapbox: Barry Bonds, eventhough he has become ginormous over the years, he has never tested positive for steroids. At this point, it is merely accusations. Now, it is totally unfair to the millions.....and millions (qoute The Rock) of fans of baseball and of Barry, to continuously walk him. The majority of us want to see history take place, just like we did with Mark Macguire and Sammy Sosa back in 1998. We may have to wait for A-Rod and he'll probably get the same treatment when he gets close. So, I say celebrate the acheivement and not the man if that makes it all better for those who believe he did take steroids. Don't get me wrong.... I think he did, too!!

you don't think during the steroid era there weren't any pitchers using steroids? or fielders even that barry was hitting balls over their heads over the fences. barry has never tested positive for steroids, nor did baseball have a rule against steroids during the years he's accused of using. and pitchers have walked barry more times than any other player in history. ;

He's going to break the record. whats the point of walking him all the time. All that means is that ESPN is goin to have more annoying barry bonds coverage and more bullsh!t stories about him and breaking the record. Get it over with and lets move on

Bonds is already way ahead of anyone else all-time in walks. He doesn't need any more. Plus players don't really care as much about stats as they do about winning. I say just serve him up a few and get this whole thing over with now. I don't like bonds either but this thing is dragging out way too long.

No, walks score runs. You still want to win and you have a much better chance of getting him out that he does of hitting a home run. Still would be nice if he didn't break the record though.

I think they should throw him two fat meatballs and get it over with. Wether you like it or not, wether you think he deserves it or not, it's going to happen. So I say get it over with, so people can start caring about Tom Glavine winning #300. The HR record will be smashed by A-Rod the way he's going, but with starting pitchers getting fewer ininngs and decisions, the league will never see another 300 game winning pitcher.
