Jackie hands down.

I'll answer the qestion strictly on ball player v ball player. Yeah Jackie had a bigger social impact, and was more important historically, but I dont think thats what is being asked here.

I'll knock out defense first, since its the most difficult. Robinson was a very good infielder (at second, third, and first). Snider was a very good defensive centerfielder. I give the edge here to Jackie, that choice is yours.

Offensively both were HOFers, the one aspect where Snider is better is power (by todays standards he would be a 35-45 HR a year guy) he held a significant advantage over Jackie here. As for AVG. snider hovered around .300 Jack was .311; not to metion Jackie had a better OBP. Base running is no question, Robinson.

So it comes down to this, was Sniders dominance in HR power enough to overcome Jackies advantages in overall playing ability....no, Robinson is a better player. But if I had to chose one of them to hit 4th in my lineup, I choose the Duke; that being said ROBINSON was better.

No doubt it's Jackie Robinson.

More than anything I am curious why you want an opinion on Jackie vs. Duke. They were both good ballplayers.
Why not Bill Mazerowski and Phil Rizzuto?

Snider could only bat, throw and run. Robinson could do every thing.

i'd say jackie robinson just because he broke the color barrier and it would've taken a great player to do somthing like that.
