Henry Chadwick was a sports writer...the first inducted. The rest I found all had serious connections to the game like owners, Commissioners, GM's...

EDIT: Good Job Craig, that one went right over my head! I believe they put those up a few years ago...I remeber seeing something on that!

lol not only bud abbot and lou costello but theres a bunch of umpires in the Hall of Fame. i dont think they are actually have a plaque of them in the hall of fame but they do have their own section with them doing who's on First
