hopefully the tigers. i have a feeling many teams will only offer the vet minimum prorated for the rest of the season and boomer will pick which team he will go to. the tigers need some help in the rotation with the injuries of miller and gambler.

I would be willing to go out on a limb and say the Sheriff, although it could be local police!

Seriously, I think that the Dodgers may take a try with him (they need pitching), The Mets could always try, also the Braves but do any of them really want to take a flyer on a guy that has performed like Boomer this year. I think he is done but someone may give him a chance.

I wouldn't be surprised if David Wells is done.

I could be proven wrong, but Pat Gillick is on the record saying no way on Boomer.

The Phillies will move J.D. Durbin into the rotation rather than take a flyer on David Wells, who couldn't get people out at Petco Park. I'd hate to see how bad he would pitch at Citizens Bank Park.

Probably some poorly run team, like the Tampa Bay Devil Rays whose season is usually over in June.

Probably nobody, unless the team is desperate. David Wells is not the pitcher he used to be. I can remember him pitching for the Detroit Tigers. He hasn't been the same since.

San Francisco Old Folks Home, if he goes there, he may actually lower their average age. I believe they`re keeping seats warm for Clemens, Maddux, & Julio Franco.

questionable if anyone will.

If anyone, it will be the Dodgers or the D-Backs

Maybe, just maybe the Cardinals might make a go, they are closing quickly in that division.

Rumors are flying that the dodgers, mariners, yankees and brewers are interested.
