We wouldn't be talking about Barry Bonds or Hank Aaron
and home runs right now if Ruth hadn't spent his first five years
as a pitcher (almost winning 100 games with an era of 2.25).

The Brewers are playing terrible, and the Cubs are the Cubs, and
the Cardinals are probably too injured to win it.

perry cheated the game on the field. he broke the rules, yet he's in the hof. cobb was a racist who stabbed someone and hurt people on the basepaths. rose gambled on his team to win. and bonds broke no rules. if perry and cobb are in, rose and bonds should be in too. period.

I just read on Yahoo that Bonds is sueing Schilling for the comments he made to Costas. Bonds attorney said they have been silent until now to concentrate on the home run record, but now they will be going after those making false statements about Bonds. Thought is was interesting.

It's such a downer. There's really nothing that silences a crowd like a walk-off HR.

It just seems wierd to me that he is breaking records, but the Giants are in last place in their division.

First of all I am a Yankees fan so you don't think this is biased.....I think Bud Selig's double standards are terrible and shouldn't be put up with. For him to just stand like an idiot and not even clap for Barry Bonds who aside from the obvious never admitted to taking steriods then not do anything to Giambi who has admitted to using "performance enhancers" is beyond comprehension!!

Don't u think that they should change their number retiring policy?

10 years with the red sox
must finish career with the red sox
and must be inducted into the hall of fame

For all we know

Clemens won't be reitred
Pedro's won't be retired
Tony Conigliaro's won't be retired.

We don't know about Manny or Ortiz, Varitek's won't cuz he's not going into the hall

Should they change it?

A-rod is a free agent at the end of the season, do you think it would be in the best interest of the Sox to pick him up and take the chance that he will destroy the team like he has to the mariners and the rangers and now even the yankees, or should the Sox work on signing Lowell to a new contract and leave A-rod and his disease behind.
