I agree that he should be, but unless he does something criminal and ends up in jail, the owners would never fire him. Don't forget, he's a former owner, and the good old boys club that is MLB wants one of their own in the office The only way Selig will leave office will be by death or retirement. The biggest problem with that job is not necessarily who is in it, but the fact that they are hired by the owners themselves. This to me would be like the airlines deciding who should run the FAA or the broadcasters choosing the head of the FCC. Selig, when he does leave office, will most likely be followed by another yes man for the owners. Until someone is put in there who will work in the "best interest of the game" as opposed to the "best interest of the owners", baseball will continue to be run with only the bottom line in mind.

Im a Giants fan and have been amazed at the accomplishment of Barry Bonds though I dont particularly care for the guys personality. Seligs dissing of this record shows no class at all. The one that showed me real class was Hank Aaron in his congradulatory video that was played right after the event. He emphasized that there has to be ability and longevity to reach that point. He has never pouted or pointed a finger at Bonds. Sure, Barry probably did do some roids along the way as well as many other players but that should not diminish any of their accomplishments.

Bud Selig should never even have been allowed to become the Commissioner let alone be fired. To appoint a fellow owner was a stupid move and since his accession to this position I have seen a real drop in Baseball traditions.

Bud Selig is a two faced piece of crap. For him to try to take the high road on the Bonds deal is sickening. He and his owner bosses knew all along what was going on. He helped create the whole problem and now acts high and mighty. This is the kind of crap that gives decent people a bad name.

I cannot recall the last time I agreed with a Yankee fan but here is one. Bud Selig should be fired retroactively. But he is a typical a baseball commissioner. The owners like someone they can push around, the know him from when he owned the Brewers.
P.S. My idea of a perfect day in baseball is: The Yankees lose and the Dodgers win. I have been a Dodger fan since their days in Brooklyn but never lived there, far, far from Ebbets Field.
My favorite players were Duke Snider and Sandy Koufax.

I agree he should treat all players equally. It also doesn't look good that Giambi is white and Bonds is black. Not that I think Selig is a racist, just saying it doesn't look good.
