Basically, if they were to name the MVP awards from each league after a player, who should they be named after??? Should they also rename other awards like the ROY or Silver Sluggers?

MVP - BABE RUTH AWARD

ROY should stay the same because it can never be the same player twice

Silver slugger IF to be changed I would say Ted Williams, but I think there is already a Ted Williams award, and the Silver Sluggers award has a nice ring plus the trophy is gorgeous

MVP- Ted Williams award

i dont know if they should do this however, it kind of detracts from all of the things that other players have done. Naming an award is like naming the best player EVER in that category. There really is no best player however, its always argueable, and there really is just no need to confuse the hell out of everyone now when we already have names for these awards.

You can't name the MVP award after a specific player. If you go based on the logic who has won the most MVPs in his career... It would be called the Barry Bonds Award. I think "MVP" works just fine.

it should be named after the guy that has won it more than TRIPLE the number of times that anyone else has won it.

The MVP award SHOULD be named the Barry Bonds award.

The silver slugger should be named for

A.L. Ted Williams
N.L. Stan Musial

TWO of the games greatest hitters. They both played their entire career for ONE team, in ONE city. They both were EXCELLENT hitters and outstanding fielders!
