i would like to know what exactly makes it a save situation. i believe it has to do with having a less then a 3 run lead towards the end of a game. example- if a closer come into a game with a 3+ run lead (9th inning). is this a save chance? and what if a team is leading by 5 or more runs in the 8th or 9th inning and the closer come into the game and ends up giving up 3 runs? does all of a sudden this situation turn into a save chance for him?...

Is it because people say he's on steriods?

2007-07-30 08:44:43 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

Let's say Pete bet against his team, he did not alter the game of baseball, Barry has. Some have argued that Bonds is a great hitter and steroids does not give you ability to make contact with the ball. With that I agree. But however in his later years it gave him the ability to instead of pop out he could hit it over the fence. That is altering the game.

To celebrate my 1000th YA, I thought I would post a question.
If you had an infielder, with around 2400 hits, .320 batting average.
Hit less than 225 home runs, around 960 RBis, but has scored a number of runs, 1450ish. The OPS of the player is around 25% better than his peers.

Has a 3:5 BB:K ratio. Slugging less than .500, OBA less than .400. Has stolen around 300 bases.

Is this player HOF worthy?

of lying to a grand jury and using steroids, should MLB delete his soon to be Home Run record? The Tour de France does it, why not MLB? I am tired of the "everybody does it excuse". That is marginally valid only against his contemporraries, not against the ages, which is the concern of this particular record.

i baught some cubs vs brewers ticktes at wrigley even before the season started. they are good seats and got them at a low price i guess becuase no one thought that the brewers would be any good and the cubs would be chasing them and that the last meeting between them for the season would have any meaning. anyway i got them , im not planning on selling them but i would like to know how much they are worth. ( they are terrance infield reserved n cost me about $30)
