Eric Gagne would be the best but he has never played in a NFL game.

Jerry Rice. He dominated his position like no other player in NFL history has. He the sole owner of numerous (28 I believe) regular, postseason and super bowl records. Many of those don't have the possibilty of being broken by anybody that is an NFL player right now.

Joe Montana led his team to 4 superbowl victories - and I mean led. The line changed significantly between the championships, as did the running game. And their rushing was never what you would call dominant. Montana was just so good in the postseason, he almost forced the 49ers to win. Hands down.

Emmit Smith. I don´t think he played baseball anyway, but he was in the NFL.

Just because Barry Bonds looks like a freakin linebacker now is no reason to put NFL questions on the baseball side of things. (Ha ha -- thanks for giving me a chance to hate on Barry.)
