I'd turn maybe, but I would not show him my back , I'd show him a spot just below it.

When Bonds breaks this record, I will be standing, applauding, and cheering my *** off. The same way that I stood, applauded and cheered my *** off when McGwire took over the single season record. I am a fan of baseball, and you don't see history take place before your eyes very often. And until Bonds fails a drug test and serves a 50 game suspension for taking steroids, he's o.k. in my book.
For all of you people who would turn their backs on Bonds... do you turn your back every time Shawn Merriman makes a tackle for the Chargers? Do you turn your back every time Juan Rincon ends up notching a win for the Twins? Both have failed steroid tests and both have served suspensions for it. If you don't, you're a hipocrite. Plain and simple.

I would applaud him. If he cheated and lied and does not deserve the record, then why is he still playing? Everyone has an opinion but his hitting 756 will soon be a fact.

I'd applaud. As quoted by Dave Roberts, "have some class"..... "show some respect for baseball"..... "don't deny your kids the chance to be witnesses to history".....
I think that most people are over the drug use and believe that they should not be forced to like Barry, but at least show respect to the game.....

Applaude because turning your back to someone WHO IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IS WRONG. Look at some of hte other records in sports , nobody ever accused Jerry Rice when he set all those NFL receiving records or Emmitt Smith when he passed Walter Payton for the rushing title. I despise the Cowboys but applauded Emmitt on the accomplishment. In this Country we are all innocent until proven guilty
