the braves aquired mark teixeira 2day from the rangers? with this being said do u think the braves are going to make a good run and win the division? carlos beltran maybe out with a strained left oblique. utley is out like 4-6 weeks i think. if chipper continues his hot months of june and july i think they win the division especially with mark coming over.
1. braves
2. mets
3. phils
it will come down to the wire probably 5 games separating the 3 teams

I think the Braves have a good shot to take over 1st place from the Mets.

i am a braves fan myself. i think that if they put teixeira in the cleanup spot instead of andruw we can start scoring more runs and our offense will be more consistent. the reason i say that is because andruw been so inconsistent. he will have an 0-for-24 streak then come back and hit a homer but he'll slip right back again. chipper has been hot for a few weeks now . if the braves pull themselves together they could have a chance to win the division. of course utley being out of the lineup up helps alot because he is a vital part of the phillies team just like chipper is with ours. and if beltran is out that is even better.

i still dont think the braves have a shot
carlos beltran isnt the only good player for the mets, and the same can be said about utley for the phillies. Which is apparent because they are still yet to lose without him. While the offense is very good with utley in the lineup, they can still be the league leader in runs scored when he doesnt play

I dont think that the Braves will be able to catch the Mets, but it will be close. The braves & phils both have a good shot at the wild card though.

That was a good deal for the Braves, but what they really need is another quality pitcher in order to overtake the Mets and Phillies and win the division. I hope they get one!!

Chow!!

it willl be close but because the Braves got teixeira from the Rangers that they will have a better presence in their lineup now with tex to go alongside Chipper and Andrew Jones rathere than having saltalamacchia there

the braves are gonna need to get some bullpen help if they wanna catch the mets...the mets pitching staff is starting to click and they'll go after someone like a Gagne...and plus lastings milledge is playing solid since he got called up...hitting above .400...the mets will also improve at 2nd by most likely getting luis castillo from the twins...but..i think the phills will drop out of the race without pitching..and it will come down to the last week of the season

First of all the Rangers were stupid for trading Texeria.

Here is what I think of the Braves :

NL East

1. Mets

2. Braves

3. Philes

NL Wild Card

1. MAYBE Braves MAYBE Padres.

The NL east will be tight but the Mets are very close to a deal to get luis castillo from the twins to help with their 2b issue so I think it will be.
1. Mets
2. Braves
3. Phils
