I saw in an article in Sports Illustrated that its a combination of a couple things. The first thing was that he got so many death threats and he and his family went through so much turmoil breaking the record then held by Babe Ruth that he doesn't want to relive that experience. The second thing is that he doesn't tolerate anything he perceives as cheating. With this whole controversy surrounding Bonds and steroids, Hank Aaron doesn't want to be associated with that.

Yes it is. Hank Aaron earned that record naturally. Bonds body suddenly exploded in size and strength at age 35. That is not possible withour steroids. The best thing for baseball would be for Barry to break an arm or leg tonight.

because aaron doesnt like bonds. bonds does not respect the game, the fans or the people involved. bonds only wants to get the record for personal achievement. plus of all the steroid controversy surronding bonds. aaron got the record using pure natural ability

Gee, according to a lot of people, Hank Aaron is racist.
Since that doesn't make a lot of sense, could it be that Bonds is a jerk and Hammerin' Hank doesn't like him? Could it be?
Well, my 2 cents is that Bonds is a jerk, Henry is a gentleman, and I'll take Hank's word over everyone else's.

Aaron is a class act and does not want to associate his name with the bad press Bonds is getting. He is really in a tough situation because if he supports Bonds he is sending one message and by not supporting him he would send another. The only thing he can really do is just keep quite and let the chips fall where they may.

YEAH its cause he IS on steroids ... hank aaron actually EARNED is recognition. im sure if bonds was doing this legitimately aaron would be very impressed and give kudos to bonds

How would you feel if you'd been know for all your had work you'd put in creating the record then someone comes up and breaks it by cheating, Eh? I wouldn't be happy at all.
