Goos Gossage has a good chance. I would like to see Mattingly go in but unfortunately i don't see that happening.

Goose Gossage (or Lee Smith) & Bert Blyleven should get in.

The players who are first-time eligible in 2008 are a motley crew. The only one who even has a remote chance of getting in is Tim Raines.

Don Mattingly, while a terrific player, really is a long shot for the Hall of Fame, and probably doesn't belong.

I would think Goose Gossage and Jim Rice, depending on how the writers vote, he should get more than Mark McGwire did this season

Should: Gossage, Blyleven, Raines, McGwire.

Will: Gossage, maybe Rice.

Mattingly: no. Not gonna happen, nor should it. Those with pinstriped glasses welded to their temples need some form of therapy to help get them off.
(As for those who claim "he'll get in as a manager" -- please, can we wait until he actually holds that job first?)
