Teixeira will make the Braves a legitimate contender. I really believe they also need to go find another starting pitcher but they definitely helped themselves big time.

With the braves now having Texeria they have a good chance to win the wild card

If he hits like he is capable of and they could use at least one maybe 2 good arms in the bullpen as well. The Mets biggest weakness is the bullpen [middle relief along with the injuries to their key outfielders] so if the Mets don't do anything, they are in trouble and both Atlanta and Philadelphia could be fighting out for the division

teixeira brings in power in the middle of hte lineup

clutch hitting and good defense too

a change of scenery will recharge him and he will help the braves win the division

Mets aren't really that strong, they just have one more piece than the Braves do, I think though, the Braves wiwll end up wwith the Wildcard.

He'll help towards the end of the year. It'll take some time for him to acclimate to the National League pitching and small ball style.
