I've noticed that the Braves players are wearing a #33 on their jersey sleeve. I thought maybe it was honoring Josh Hancock (St. Louis Pitcher), but he was #32. Any help would be appreciated!

Except for Jose Canseco and the deceased Ken Caminiti, Jason Giambi is one of the few major leaguers to be honest about using steroids. He admitted under oath to using steroids, sort of apologized two years ago at spring training, and recently told USA Today he was wrong to do "that stuff." That earned him a summons to Bud Selig's office, who ordered him to cooperate with the dormant George Mitchell investigation. In the interim, he failed a drug test for amphetamines. Now comes word that Mr. Selig is going to suspend Giambi if he doesn't. According to Si.com, he doesn't have to rat out all the cheaters (paging Barry Bonds), just talk about the overall usage in the league. Legally, Selig probably doesn't have this right (Scott Boras said that today on Jim Rome's show). Giambi has already said baseball should apologize, does he owe anyone more than that? Should Selig suspend him for being honest?

Incase you dont know who he is, Adrián González is the Padres 1st Basemen, he was drafted by the Florida Marlins in 2000 in the first round. He then found his way to the Texas Rangers where he made his MLB Debut in 2004. In 2 seasons he played 59 games (Behind Mark Teixeira). He then became the Padres starting first basemen in 2006 where he got in his first full season playing in 156 games scoring 83 runs, 82 RBI and hit 24 HRs. This season he has played in 65 games and already has 37 Runs 46 RBI and 13 HR (including today where he went 2/3 with a run and an RBI) he is currently on pace to hit .289 with 92 Runs, 32 HR's and 115 RBI. In your oppinion is this Padres lefty the real deal? If so why do you think so?

The last time the Cubs won the world series was 1908. The
last time they won the pennant was 1945. If by some chance
the Cubs were to win the world series it would be the greatest
world series celebration in history. Even ESPN couldn't put
that fire out!

The mets are currently 2 games up on the Braves with a 36-28 record, however they are 1-9 in their last 10 and have only won 2 of their last 12, they also are in a 5 game losing streak. Last time the teams met the Mets won the series 2 games to 1. Will the Yankee under achieving of the season continue and the mets turn it around, or will the Yankees continue the newly started hot streak and take advantage of the slumping mets. Also keep in mind the mets have an off day today before the series starts tomorrow, giving Willie Randolph time to get his team motivated.

Some people say its a game where you face the minimum number of batters, some say its when nobody reaches base safely. which is it?

For example, In high school we had a game where our opponet got 1 hit, the only runner of the game (for them), but I (the catcher) threw him out attempting to steal, so there was a batter that safely reached base, but the pitcher faced the minimum 15 batters to get the 15 outs (game ended after 5 innings via the 10 run rule)

Was this a perfect game?
