has anyone heard of or know of a baseball card of billy ripkin that has 'f%$k face' written on the knob of the bat,if so how much is it worth,or how do i go about finding out in the naperville,illinois area?

Yes it definitely exsist and i have a couple of them . It is an 89 fleer card, which is also griffeys rookie fleer card. The griffey is worth more. Originally in 89 the ripken error was selling for around 100. Be lucky to get 10 now. Griffey is much better card.

Almost as strange as that is the 1970 Topps Aurelio Rodriguez card (he played for the Angels at the time, but spent most of his career in Detroit). He was very young looking himself, so he had a bat boy put on his uniform and the bat boy had his pic taken instead of Aurelio. Topps never caught on and the card was published with the bat boy on it instead of Aurelio.

There are several varieties:
a. the original, on which the profanity can be read
b. "whited out" version
c. white scribbled-over version
d. black scribbled-over version
e. black boxed-out version
None commands any particular demand in the market -- the "b" version appears to be rarest but, as its not readable, lacks the giggle-appeal of the original. Check any local card stores in your area or surf eBay, there's usually one available (sometimes listed as "FLICK FACE" because it could be read that way, though we know that's not what is written). Just search on "billy ripken", there's hardly ever another item of him for sale. its not worth that much and go to your local sports collectible store to start your search(you can even try ebay)
