First of all Beckett is not the best pitcher in MLB right now there couple pitcher better than him right now and second he's getting better just look last year. But to say he is the best that is just not fair for Peavy who yesterday trhow 7 scoreless innings. for me there is your best pitcher in MLB right now.

Nancud, you ask some of the most obnoxious questions.So what Beckett had an off night last night, so who cares??He still has a good record, of 9-1 and he still is a pretty pitcher.I have never come on here and said that I think the Sox have the best pitcher in the MLB.Like with any other team and pitcher, when were on, were on,when we are not, then we have pitchers like Schilling and Beckett lose to the Rockies.Sox are going through a MAJOR slump right now, and we need to step up our game, the Yankmes are closing in on us.Our hitting, fielding and pitching has sucked big time this week.Lets go Red Sox!!!

Record as of today says he's the best, tonight he's had a bad game just like all pitchers in the MLB will have at one point this year.
One game doesn't mean he's done, 1 half of a season doesn't mean he's the best, it all means he's having a good year SO FAR.
If he gets the support and stays healthy he has a shot at having a great year and maybe the Cy Young
Playoffs and the World Series who knows, all I know is that it's June and the Yankees are getting Hot. It'll be interesting come late Sep.

Josh isn't the best pitcher. Danny Haren is. He has a sub-2 ERA (1.67 or something?). He just isn't heard of because the A's are so small market and the Sox are so big market.
On the other hand, the Sox AL East lead has been cut in half, and the Yankees once again will win the division.

Who really thinks Beckett is the best pitcher?? Mr. Blister himself... How many times has he been on the DL in his career? And how many times was that because of a blister??
Beckett is not the best pitcher. Hes good. Hes getting better. Hes not the best.
I love the Yanks, but I have to give the best pitcher nod to Johann Santana. Maybe Jake Peavy. Hopefully after this year, both of them will be in pinstripes. GO YANKS!!!!
