I do not know about that. Justin Verlander is 7-2 making this a four horse race---Verlander, Sabathia, Beckett & Lackey.

None!! Lackey, and gaudin have better numbers in total not to mention Santana who is always unreal in the second half of the season. Oh yea and the guy who will win hands down if he keeps it up, Harren has a 1.58 ERA for Gods sake!! he is 7-2 with a friggin 1.58 era that is amazing for theses days in baseball especially in the al. If his team could hit a little hed have as many wins as everyone else but his era wins the cy young if he can keep it under 2 (which is nearly imposible)

He gives up too many homers, with a ERA too high to be in the running at the end of the year. He doesn't get enough run support lately to continue pouring on the wins to his record. He will finish in the top ten, but not the CY Young finalist.

John Lackey is my pick this year.

he is going to get lots of wins because he plays with Bosox so that gives him a chance to win it, but it all depends on the other guys and the ERA. if Lackey or Haren keep the ERA that low and wins some games maybe not as many as he will win then he is not going to win it. But is too early look at today's game i'll say wait a month after all star game then it will be more clear if he is going to win it.

Too early to tell. However, right now he is a definite contender. More than half the season has yet to be played, so we have to see what happens for the rest of the season.

Chow!!

Early #s say yes but there's a long way to go

His chances are good if he stays healthy and if he gets the run support to carry him the rest of the way

doubt it. Almost every year, you can take the first half high-achievers and watch them collapse in the second half while true winners, like CM Wang, A Petitte, and even old man Clemens, show what it means it to "pour it on going down the stretch".

Nope, he gives up too many runs.

Hmm, I dunno. As a Sox fan I'd love to see that, but it's still too early to tell.
