I'd like to get my son a good pair of gloves for when he's riding his bike during the winter. I suppose I'm looking for some that are thin yet warm, and not slippery. 'Grippy', you know? (He's been using regular, bulky gloves and that's gotta suck when he's doing his stunts and whatnot, right?)

Anyhoo, I don't know which brands are best. Any good suggestions? It would be especially nice if I could order them online :)

I hate to post another question on here about the Mitchell Report...but...

Was Jim Thome, and active Red Sox player, Mike Sweeney, or Randy Johnson ever mentioned?

I know Randy isnt that big but he threw gas.
I dont think David Ortiz ever did roids.
Mike Sweeney maybe just kinda fat?

and did it crush anyone that Benito Santiago was in the report?
i used to love that guy....(I dont really know why but he played forever. I actually dont know when he retired..)...

Stop and think about this from two perspectives:
1. Cheating infers that an opponent has an advantage over his opponent (use of steroids/PEDs). Do you HONESTLY think that if an MLB player wanted to get his hands on PEDs he could? Thus, it says that becase a player chooses NOT to use, that those who DO choose to use are cheaters...HUH?

2. Do PEDs help with hitting a baseball? You have to time the pitch and hit a round ball with a round stick at the precise angle in the right direction. Will PEDs help that ball go father...yes. BUT you have to make contact first. PEDs don't help that.

Steroids and PEDs are player-hater crutches.

Don't want to hear about the legalities.

Please answer from experience only. The reason I ask is because I recently purchased a stainless encore since it would be so resistant. After allowing it to sit in the closet for a few months, it rusted and pitted on the barrel and frame. I thought stainless could not rust originally; however after researching it, the low grade stainless steels can (as used in guns). Is low grade stainless or blued finish more resistant to rust? This is for all of you who have constantly bashed Barry Bonds over the years for allegedly using steroids. Here is the time now where you can prove that he wasn't being bashed because of his race (which I believe has a LOT to do with it). I have heard people try to defend Clemens by saying "well he never tested positive". Neither did Bonds. They say that Bonds' record is tainted, if that's the case, so are the 350+ wins of the "Rocket". Over half of the New York Yankees who played on the team that won four titles in five years were in the report. Then taint their World Series and asterik all their stats. If you are going to bash Bonds, bash Clemens because there is the same amount of tangible proof that they did steroids, which is next to none. If you don't attack Clemens as you did Bonds, then you make me believe what I thought all along was true, which is Barry Bonds was bashed not just for his steroid use, but also because of his race. SOMEBODY PROVE ME WRONG!

Let's cast our minds back to the spring of 2006, in the weeks leading up to the draft. The then Houston GM held a press conference during which he praised Mario Williams, and stated that he would have been far and away the best player available if it wasn't for Reggie Bush.

Of course, when Casserly agrees terms with Williams and then selects him with the 1st overall pick, everyone thought he was on crack or something. Not least the Houston fans, who, unsurprisingly, wanted hometown hero Vince Young.

Things got worse when Williams didn't come storming out of the blocks last season, whilst Bush had a year that showed promise for the future, with Young taking home Offensive Rookie of the Year honours. The so-called media experts began to second-guess Houston over their choice...but what a turnaround.

After taking his growing pains, Williams looks as if he is going in the right direction, building on the early promise showed in him by Casserly...
