I can't stand Donovan McNabb. I've never seen a quarterback so overly sensitive to criticism. When people criticize his play he can never step up like a man and say, "They're right, I've been playing poorly." Instead he blames people talking for his bad play. Deal with it. An NFL quarterback is a highly scrutinized position, and a lot of criticism comes along with it. You're not supposed to let it get to you. You don't see Rex Grossman whining because everyone says he sucks(Wow, does he suck or what?).

Good question (even in the allegorical sense haha)....
I do think some players whine and complain just for attention, but then again, so do a ton of people. Think about it, you know you have that friend who does nothing but b*tch and complain about their job, boy/girlfriend, or whatever else they can find fault it. They are just attention whores. On top of that, anyone can look like an idiot if they say something a little more strongly then they meant, and then they are asked to defend what they said, so they have to justify it, but try to justify in a way that doesn't come off as strong.... but in reality, it just makes a big mess.
When it comes to NFL players, this all is amplified because the media sticks a microphone into their faces every 3 seconds and asks them to talk.... about anything and everything they want to, and then when they slip up and say something they don't mean or something overly harsh, the media pounces on it, and pushes and pries until they say something that makes it even worse.
There are some players who justifiably voice their concerns about some things. For instance, if I were one of the top 3 WR's in the league, and I only was targetted on 2 plays or only had a couple of plays where I was the primary target all game, and we lost, would I be happy about it? Hell no, especially if I was open a lot. Likewise, if I were a qb, and the receivers I had were running the wrong routes, dropping passes, and just terrible in general, I would voice my opinions, especially after a big game.
that's their attitude.
However, if I were just an average-ish player on a team, and I opened my mouth about things, I'd be very, very careful about what comes out. Freddie Mitchell is a perfect example. The guy sucked, but he talked big before every game. He is the one player I never have been able to stand because all he did was talk.

Well first off, you could say this is any player at any time.
Offensive player not touching the ball enough, or the defensive player watching his team crumble because they suck horribly.
A couple years ago it was TO. I admit it. I love TO, and the fact to watch him cry like a baby because Mcnabb didn't throw him the ball was funny. Next still on offense is Chad Johnson. He has been the most inconsistent receiver this year. All of his TD catches have came in 3 games and its useless. He whines and complains about the other team he is playing against and then does nothing.
On the defensive side of the ball...The Anthony Smith guarntee..funny. He only did that to get some air time. The real complainer is Warren Sapp. Each week he rags on his DEF because they can't stop the run in OAK. Over and over again you can hear him ranting about how bad it is. He is a defensive tackle...shouldn't he be stopping the run?
Just a couple guys...
But yes, I think the NFL players do whine and complain more than anything just to get some attention.
Good luck!!

That's really lessened, this season... lemme think a little..."whine and complain" isn't "brag & boast", or "predict & guarantee" winning... an NFL former-player that would fit the bill, firstly for me -- would be Tiki Barber. He couldn't just quit, he had to rip his former QB (and he's CERTAINLY attention starved, and thinks he's pretty etc. -- when he's about 5' 6" and looks like a shiny-domed bridge troll)... and any Giants fan hates a quitter, anyhow. Then, for me personally -- this former NFL Head Coach Bobby Petrino takes the CAKE -- I don't know, don't care about him.. the Falcons are way off my radar... but I HATE THAT GUY and he should be fined and banned for Life from the NFL for that nonsense, how did he PREPARE for a MNF game, if he's interviewing/arranging for the Arkansas job, etc. WHERE'S THE NFL's COMMISH on this? on vacation?
Now, as far as players... I can't stand any WR in any game, that gets up and talks to refs over & over about penalties -- especially when trying to "get a call" -- and this would qualify for "whine and complain". Randy Moss, TO and 85 don't carry on in the press, like they used to.. we have to admit that.
Your guy, Hines Ward -- with that phony "I know the camera may find me" smile after every play bothers me, too. NO ONE smiles all the time, on the football field... no one. While it can be put-on to show the defense that they're not getting to him -- I see him usually smiling up, and toward the camera.. which means, he's a MEDIA SAVVY guy, just like my former Giants Tiki Barber was, and Strahan is now.. that during the games, they seek/want some face time... after plays, and know the announcers will comment on THEM after plays, and say what they would want, if they can supply the cue.. that to me, is way too contrived.

you're lumping everybody mutually. it is the guy that acts that way, no longer there sexuality. there are a number of anoying obnoxiouse straight away adult men accessible, no longer in basic terms gay. Thats like saying "Why are all boys into activities?" or "Why do all ladies would desire to placed on makeup?". with the point to respond to your question, why do gay adult men cry and whinge and whine and are on no account satisfied? the comparable reason straight away adult men or ladies or gay ladies whine, whinge and arn't satisfied. It relies upon on the guy your are speaking approximately, no longer there sexuality.

This year, Simeon Rice has been a real crybaby.
He whines about his playing time, or lack thereof, when he clearly did nothing with it.
There's a reason he's looking for his 4th team in two years. The Broncos and Colts saw enough to kick him to the curb...
I see the second meaning here, so to answer the question properly, yes they do...
