in the future knowing players are cheating cause they can get away with it? Does it also bother you that most are cheating to make even more money?

How will you stand to this as a fan spending your hard earned money on a cheating product?

no i won't find it hard to watch baseball. only 8% of current players have been named in the report, leaving 275 supposedly honest players. i have faith in those who aren't cheating and watch it for those players.

There is a problem with this whole steriod business. I sucks to see some of the players you admire on that stupid mitchell report. Some players most people thought were not even in consideration. But it is reality. One of the things I cant get over is the fact that Bonds takes all of the blame. In my mind he was in the HOF before he took steriods and even with the steriod issue. Now not many people think he should be in the HOF but stand by Clemens and the other steriod users. I think if they put Clemens in the HOF there should be no question Bonds should be there.
One of the other problems with MLB is the fact that so many people have taken steroids and so many people will still( the Dumb Ones) and there is not much the MLB can do. I think they cant just supspen 80 players or more. That would cause chaos and loss of fan support. I know this thing is going to sound a little crazy to some people but I think they shoud make steriod legal. If steriods are legall then the players that took them would be good but they would have short lasting injury prone careers and they would realize how much fan support hey really lose. The MLB could keep testing to keep the fans updated. But there are a few issues with my plan that have to be worked out. It would kind of teach the young learners of the sport bad ideas and bad life lessons. Also the people with the past record would have some issues.
But look at Arod and some of the past great baseball players, they didnt need steriods oto pass records and get a large fan base. So I think the good players would do steriods and the greats wouldnt.

I think the MLB will drasticaly change over the next few years and I dont think baseball players should take steriods but some people will live by the report causeing a loss of fan support and some will take it and throw it out the window and those people wil be the trus baseball fans.

No, I won't stop. I like many others assumed that MLB players were using illegal substances back when Sammy Sosa and Mcgwire were battling for the HR crown. We knew then but we enjoyed the excitement at the time, so we chose to believe it wasn't true, so we looked the other way. Now we act as if we can't believe it. When ever moneys involved their will be corruption, and the temptation to cheat to get paid, is human nature. Cheating/corruption is seen in all walks of life, Church, schools, law enforcement, politicians, Doctors, lawyers, everywhere. Lets stop pretending that Santa Claus exists, he doesn't, and neither does a world without cheaters. Wake up America, cheating is all around us. I can't wait until someone exposes the NFL for throwing games. No I didn't believe it was possible either but this year, I've seen some games that have convinced me otherwise. As they say money is the root of all evil or Money talks and everything else walks.

Barring problems with my vission I don't forsee any trouble with watching baseball.

I don't spend much of my hard earned money on baseball. Considering the fact that baseball is broadcast on cable, which most people pay for already, I would guess most people don't spend too much of their hard earned dough.

I do occassionally buy tickets and go to live games and I enjoy it. I think that cheating is wrong, but I think they are taking steps in the right direction.

Although I'm a baseball fan, I had trouble watching baseball already, haha.

Anyways, I'll watch baseball as much as I always did... and follow MLB as much as well. I dont consider the use of steroids cheating, so it doesnt bother me.

Besides, it's more likely now that there'll be less steroids used... than previous years. This whole thing was to scare players off.

What does give me trouble watching baseball is that I'm a Blue Jays fan... and they're always disappointing.

It's been how baseball was played for even before most of the children and teens and immature adults here have been watching the sport.

If you don't like the players, their choice of "taking an advantage" or what they stand for, why don't you just watch another sport like figure skating, thumb wrestling or tiddlywinks? I'm sure they don't have any steroid controversies in those sports!

i will not have any trouble watching baseball again.....now that all this came out this should hopefully move the commissioner to more strict with players who are caught from then on out. Let's face it, many owners were aware of the problem as well as the commissioner and they chose to ignore because $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ was being made

No. The players listed in the Mitchell Report took substances that were not yet banned by MLB. Now that the league has instituted strict drug testing, I have very little suspicion of current players.

It is upsetting and I am hopeful that the steroid scandal will discourage players from taking performace enhancing drugs. I can't stop watching, I can just hope it gets better. The most current report just said that roughly 80 players are known to have taken them and many of them are key players and spans over all positions.

I will continue to just go to minor league games. Even without the steroids, the amount of money these guys make is ridiculous and they want $30 and up to even see games like the Orioles against the Devil Rays? Heck, they should pay me to go see that. The minor league teams make the whole experience alot more fun.
