22 & 23 as they weren't classified in the constructors chsp. It should be something like:

1&2 Ferrari
3&4 BMW
5&6 Renault
7&8 Williams
9&10 Red Bull
11&12 Toyota
14&15 Toro Rosso
16&17 Honda
18&19 Super Aguri
20&21 Force India
22&23 McLaren

Hi Dawg...the theory is that the #1 goes to the drivers' champion (with his teammate #2), then the other teams are in the order they finished in the constructors championship.

Technically the #1 goes to the driver's champion but since Ferrari took both wouldn't # 1&2 be for Ferrari drivers? And as for McLaren, Lewis would bring the # 3&4 for the team but with the fine and stuff, I see two scenarios:
a) They keep the # 3&4 but as for the position in the pitlane, dead last.
b) Take the # 22&23 and dead last in the pits.
B sounds just about right.

Being DSQ that would make them last in the championship. Number 13 is skipped so McLaren will be cars 22 and 23

Only the World Champion's car number is decided by the WDC. The rest of the numbers are decided by the constructor's championship. Hence, they will be numbers 22 and 23, their lowest numbers since 1990 when they were 27 and 28 (Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger respectively).

should be 22 and 23

They will have the last 2 numbers, So if there are 24 cars (12 teams) they will be 23 and 24. Lewis will have the last but 1 number as he's McLarens number 1 driver. They will also have the smallest and last garages down the pit lane.

it will probably be 22 and 23, or if they put them uptop because they came in 2nd and 3rd in the championship, then they will be 3 and 4. Most likely 22 and 23 though
(22 and 23 because the number 13 is not used in the car numbers anymore)

They have to have their numbers as 22 and 23 or lower, they may choose to pick different numbers like ferrari in the 80s when they were numbers 27 and 28.

I heard it will be 50 and million.

Edit: Lighten up folks...jeepers. Seriously though it's a fair question since Lewis got to keep his points even though the team didn't what will happen? When a champ moves teams the No.1 goes with them so does the number derive from the team or the driver? Is there anything historically to say how this works or does someone know how the rulebook works in a case like this?

As Prodrive is rejected, it must be 22, 23. Spyker's points must be counting for Force India and as Merc is penaltied, STR must be in front of them.
