I am a Yankees fan & I have seen so many postings on YA, that if Red Sox get Santana that they will win 4 or 5 World Series in the next couple of years. I will admit, the Sox will have a great pitching staff & if they do sign him, nothing is guaranteed. Remember all that great pitching the Atlanta Braves had & what did they get out of that pitching staff, yes they did win many division titles, but they also only won 1 World Series. Whoever gets Santana, whether it's the Yanks or Sox, neither team is a shoe in for the WS title but he will help whatever team he goes to. Thoughts?

I mean they brought that game right into OT. I have been waiting for someone all season to give the Jets a game, I think maybe just a slightly better team than pittsburg, like the Cardinals takes that plan and executes it better and the Jets are going down! What do you think?

It doesn't matter if they're play by play (Don West). As long as they keep on entertaining it really doesn't matter if they call the whisper in the wind a twist of fate (J.R.).

Hell, it doesn't matter if they're gay (Michael Cole). lol. Or even if OH MY GAWD!!!! is all they can say (Joey Styles).

It doesn't matter if he calls himself King (Jerry). Or if he's a wrestling god in the ring (JBL).

It doesn't matter if his company rhymes with his name (Mike Tenay). Or if Tazzmission is his game (Tazz).

tested positive for steroids last year for 3 years - 36 million, wow, that's 12 million per season. I think this will be Guillen's 10th team. He's a good player, but he's not worth that kinda money, you agree? Obviously the Royals are desperate.

It's frustrated to see a team like the Angels get things done and sign Torii Hunter. Then they are the mix for Miguel Cabrera and maybe even Johan Santana. Even a team like the Red Sox who just won the World Series are still improving their team by trying to get Santana. What are the Giants doing? Don't tell me Vizquel is going to be our only "acquisition"?

A couple of people here are trying to claim Hank Steinbrenner didn't go back on his word.

Please explain to me how saying you won't negotiate with a certain player if he opts out of his contract;

Then a few weeks later, they are in Hank's office NEGOTIATING a deal?

You do know what the word negotiate means right?

It makes no different who went to who, if the two parties are discussing a deal, they are negotiating.

If Hank wanted to stay true to his word, he would've told A-Rod he meant what he said, and no negotiations would take place. Period.

Do you just not know how contracts work, what a negotiation is, or will you just say anything as long as it's positive about the Yankees?

Man I can't wait to see the looks on the faces of Belichick, Brady, and Kraft when they lose their first game. It will be so sweet. Cry, Cry.

However, I am having a hard time trying to figure out whom I want them to lose to!

Would you rather have it be in the regular season, preserving the 72' Dolphins record? Have them lost to the Colts possibly in the AFC Championship? Or lose in the Super Bowl to an NFC team?

P.S. Man wasn't that gay of Rodney Harrison last night in the Ravens game to mock Billick like that.

I have noticed over time that suspensions are easier and easier to get.

that Nashville player ( i didnt catch who it was) Elbowed the Montreal Defenseman (Once again, never say who it was) And got suspended, 3 years ago that wouldnt have been a suspension.

do you think Collie is making a mistake giving suspensions for elbows now too?

because i know if that was in effect during the Messier era, he would have never played, he would be too busy being suspended (i'm not dissing him, but he had one hell of an elbow)


i just think that the players might start feeling limited to what they can do because they dont want to accidently hit someone in the head and get suspended, which could limit the aggression in the NHL and cause a more boring game.

if you were campbell, how would you deal with the situation of accidental head shots?

this is not to all of you but the amount of dojos that do judo are the biggest mcdojos ive seen, i mean the british judo asociation is so screwed up, they said i had to pay £30 on the spot for a gi and the when they punched they steped forwad with thier other fist on the waist like u see all these karate kids doing.
judo has just become a sport, they shouldnt even call it a martial art. i know some judokas who are excellent but it is rare to find these days, they normaly just do point sparring.

i mean the sport is exellent real fun to watch but what it has become now is a watered down version of shuai jiao and karate

Which two teams go to the superbowl and why? I have kind of asked this question b4 and Im thinking Steelers & Buccaneers both teams have strong defenses. The pats look real beatable all of a sudden, the cowboys are great but romo choked last year and has to proof himself in the playoffs, the pac and colts have some injury issues.

since the NBA teams are so rich and can afford anything, why dont they hand out disposable cameras with flash to every fan before the game, and when the opposing teams free throw shooter starts to shoot, all of the fans in the arena clicks on the camera, and the whole arena flashes, and the free throw shooter would most likely miss, this would give the home team a great advantage, what do you think? haha
