Because they have nothing better to do. Boston fans don't have much about baseball, and have never won before. They aren't used to it, so now they are trying to throw their 15 minutes of fame in everyone's faces, not to mention trying to drag it out into 16 minutes of fame. They were only ahead of the Yanks by 2 games last year, and the Yanks would have caught them had Hughes not gotten hurt early in the season. They wont win the division for the next 10 years.

They don't need to beat the yankees. They have to win enough games to make the playoffs, then beat the team that knocks the yankees out in the first round. If I was a yankee fan, I would be less worried about what Boston is doing and more worried about the Yankees "pitching staff". Starters are ok, bullpen looks awful and isn't Rivera on the decline. Doesn't seem like he can get 3 consecutive outs anymore.

Red Sox Nation needs to savor every last bit of their world series victory and what a better way to do it than hyping up the team.....OK so they were a better team last year and have won two world series in the last 4 years.....Lets take a look at the history of both teams I think that will determine who is the better team over all....Yankees this year IMO need to have solid pitching a solid bull pen and Moe should only be used for 3 outs.... triplezero19 Moe is older and may not be able to over power hitters like he once did but to say he is on the decline is a little premature....He still is a very very dominate closer who now has to work the entire strike zone he has to pitch smart to get his outs.....Yankees last year with all there problems and slow start only finished 2 games behind the sox and we would have caught them if we did not get so many injuries!!!

Pitching. The Sox have it and the Yankees don't. The Yankees have once again put there hopes on the arms of old has been pitchers. Don't hold your breath its going to be along time before you see another championship. You guys should have signed Lowe instead of A-Rod that would have left you plenty of money to invest in some starters. Now your stuck with Pettite and probably Clements.

Dude. Who say's they can't beat the Yankees. If your asking if they've beaten the Yanks yet, I would say NO because the 2008 season hasn't started yet! As soon as it does, the Yanks will have a stiff neck looking up at the Red Sox all summer and into the Fall. How is it "hype" when your World Champs?

I'm sorry, is the glare of my most recent World Series trophy bothering you so much, that you can't even think straight??
We don't have to beat the Yankees, they do a good job of that themselves.

because they can beat most everybody else, but if you really think the yanks are going to the alcs next season, you belong in a mental hospital because you are totally delirious, i suppose you think george bush is a good president too?

That is a brave statement when the Red Sox are coming off of a championship and the Yankees were out after the first round of the playoffs.
