Our main instructor had to cancel last night, so one of the senior students taught the class. I'd worked with this guy before. I train in aikido, by the way.

Usually, we do a lot of exercises and our main instructor doesn't really seem to care to connect it all together. We do learn a lot of stuff with him, but sometimes I wonder how it all fits. I've got to admit whatever he's doing, he knows what he's doing, because then we get to the more complex stuff and somehow, we know what to do by just putting all of these bits together and I kind of go: Oh, O.K., now I get it! But for long periods of time, we do these exercises and sometimes I have to wonder: What's this all about?

The other instructor, which I've had a chance to train with a lot in the past is a sandan and what he does is he'll just go right through the technique over and over again and he'll adjust the students as he goes along and by the time class is over, we've only gone through one thing, but we can do it...

I'm sick of people talking about taking Reggie's Heisman away. What he did happened years ago. They just need to leave the kid alone and let what he did be. I don't agree with what happened, but it happened and its over with so just drop it.

Seattle has the 15th team and will start in 09. That'll be really exciting. I hear the folks up there are football fanatics. But anyway the Commissioner was saying hopes are that they can get a 16th team for Philadelphia or St.Louis as well into the 09 season. Also he wants 2 more teams added by 2011, such as a 2nd team in New York and a possible team in Miami or Las Vegas. Do you think they are going the right way with this? I think once they hit 18teams, they should stop adding them and focus on reformatting the USL as a true 2nd division league. Surely by 2011 with 18teams, MLS will show its a real league in the eyes of the football world and by that time it should be a growing success here in the USA. thoughts?

That would be a franchise best. The previous mark was 104 wins in 1984.

Does anyone (besides me) remember that incredible start the 1984 Tigers got off to?
My question is do you think this 2008 team could exceed that mark?

Please do not answer my question if you are not familiar with both fighters. I have seen Mayweather fight many times and believe he is a great boxer whose great conditioning, skills, and hand speed make him, arguably, the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world right now. But I don't know much about Hatton... and I would very much like to hear from serious boxing fans who are familiar with BOTH boxers.

What's so great about this guy? His passing is O.K. and he think he's Michael Vick, but really, is he that great, or is it all hype? Will he be another quarterback that doesn't live up to its potential when he decides to go to the NFL?

The holding call was bogus. Why, also, did the Raven's not have the opportunity to decline the illegal procedure penalty which gave them another chance at 4th down?

I am not asking who can throw it 75-80 yards! I'm asking who can throw the football with a lot of velocity on a rope 40 yards across the field!

I'm tired of hearing new stories on the news on which player has been linked to using steroids. I'm a serious baseball fan and i could care less who uses steroids. They have been using them for years and i don't understand why people are surprised by this. If you didn't know that Mark Mcgwire was using steroids when in the mid 90's just by looking at his body then you were in denial. I'm pretty sure it was very very common and may still be so i don't know what the big deal is all of the sudden these past couple years. Can't we just move on and forget about it. MLB just announced it made 6 billion dollars this year and this is after all these steroid allegations. That just goes to show most fans don't care about steroids and they don't want to hear about them. Fans like ballparks, exciting games, rivalries, HOME RUNS. Why can't we just accept the fact they used steroids and leave it at that. If the truth really came out you would be very surprised how many MLB Players used steroids

I mean, the "46" defense was predicated on stacking the line of scrimmage and creating mistmatches. They were trying to get to the quarterback for a sack or have him panic and throw an interception/incomplete pass. Why didn't teams back in 85' focus on passing? Go into shotgun, then short, fast passes. You can't have more than 11 players on the field. When you move players on defense to play closer to the line, didn't that leave openings in other spots? Why couldn't teams take advantage of this back then?
