He plays with heart and that's what I like about him even though he plays against my team. He might be a little cocky, but he's bigger than most of the players.
He won't be able to run through players in the NFL and if he tries then they are going to do a "welcome to the NFL" hit on him to teach him a lesson. Just like Bush last year when he got stuck on the swing pass by the Eagles.

He is only overrated in the sense too much praise is given his running ability. People look at his TD numbers and say "he is better than Vince Young."
He is nowhere near the runner Vince was. Vince made people miss and blew by them. Tebow runs off tackle and plows five yards into the endzone.
Tebow is a good runner for sure, but Vince was spectacular.
That being said, he may be the best total package college football has seen. He is an excellent passer, and will only get better.
As to the NFL, it remains to be seen how well he will do. He won't be able to run in the NFL like he does in college. Tebow is a big, upright target, and he WILL take big hits if he plays in the NFL like he does at UF. He will have to become a dropback passer who can run if given the opportunity.
He has the skills to be the next Steve Young, for sure, but he really is very different than Vick. Vick was the greatest running QB that ever played. He was litterally playing on a different level when he ran the ball.
Vick could not throw the ball, however. He never could. Tebow can.

Would you say he was overrated knowing that some guy had only 14 rushing TD's in a year and that was Florida's record. That guy was some running back who i think did kinda OK in his career, what was his name, ohh yeah Emmitt Smith. Emmitt also only had 36 in his 2 year career at Florida. Tebow has 22 in his first year as a starter. So you say big deal they are mostly only 2-3 yard pludges. 1) If it's that easy turn your comp. off and go do it. 2) How many of those were with 2,3 even 4 defenders hanging off his side as he drug them across the goal line. You say his passing eff. is ok? I think 2nd in the nation is a tad better than just OK. Although Colt Brennann has broke 25 records, he hasn't done anything really that NOBODY else has done. He also is a great QB that may not make it. Sure the SUPERMAN thing got a little blown up my the media. Obviously he is not a bulletproof, building lifting, crime fighting superhero, but I wouldn't say overrated either. Fact of the matter is, not everyone was made to make it in the NFL. Wait till he gets there before you prejudge how he may or may not do. He may not even go to the NFL, what if he becomes a Doctor, or a car sales man, and hell the guy my not even live that long. Point being give someone that does more than sit on a computer judging other people the credit he deserves for the things he does. Plus, I do not think he thinks he is Michael Vick, Tebow still has his freedom. Tebow DOES NOT CALL THE PLAYS. Dan Mullen the O-Coor. calls his number when they need a TD up close and the running back we have puts the ball on the turf more than he puts his feet on the turf. Also, to the one who said "They have 3 losses". So I guess you think Tebow should have been out there to block the last sec. game winning field goals by Auburn(kicked twice by the way), and he should have stopped the 5 fourth down conversions our DEFENSE gave up. When did the NCAA add a QB to the Defensive lineup? I will give the lose to GA up. He did not have a good running game, then again, I guess it is his fault he was sacked I think 5 times, I guess he should have snapped the ball to himself, blocked the D-line, dropped back and passed all at the same time. GET OFF THE COMP AND GO PLAY FOR YOURSELF. Then act as though it is easy. Point being all the great QB's have to have good or great talent around them. Take Brett Farve and make me his best Wideout and I bet he sucks and retires the next year.

Tebow did well this year though. The thing about it is that most of his runs were 3 yard plunges. 21 TDs are no big deal when you have people throwing 30+. Brennan threw for 58 last year and there was no red carpet or people eager to just in his lap. Tebow will have a rude awakening when he gets to the NFL. You won't see him running the ball as much. Look at McNabb and how he has eased up from it. It's one thing being tough and trying to bully people for 1 or 2 yrds in college. Heck, in the NFL that there job. Ray Lewis won't have it!!!! Besides, in the NFL you have a RB already. It's the pocket QB that they are looking for. Tebow has to show me that he can make all the throws that a QB needs to make.

No he is not overratted. he is no Vick either. vick didnt come close to 20/20 when he was at tech. Check tebows numbers. He has Vince young type stats at texas. he is agood passer and deadly on the run because of his size, he just runs down players when he gets a full steam ahead.
If he doesnt live up to his potential like many Qb's it will be because they try to change what he does to make him a sterotypical NFL QB. But he is also only a sophmore so I doubt he will come out, he may play at least one more year, especially if he doesnt win the Heisman. 20 rushing and 20 passing touchdowns puts him in a class all by himself.

Yes .....for someone who is being compared as a QB on a par with Colt Brennan (a truly great QB with phenomenal credentials/individual stats, NCAA records, etc)......Tebow will most likely end up as a back up Tight End or Running Back in the NFL

I wish I could say yes, but he is a very good college QB, he won't be able to run that option he's running at Florida in the NFL tho, he'll get killed. He better start working on his passing skills.

YES...The team lost 3 games...and people in the media are acting like he's some sort of great QB...They're making a big deal about the rushing TD record for QBs...but that isn't really a big deal...It just means he usually called his own number on goal line situations...
